    Hi there,

a while back I bought Fillex, but I can’t seem to find the file :( would it be possible to get it again, you do have a record of emails that bought the plugins I assume?

Working on a project where I use fillex to do a color change on a letter. When I render the fillix plugin bugs out and makes my letter disappear then reappear. It cuts the letter in half where the color line ends. I turned the margin up to 1000 the letter is a letter y and to get the color to fill it I had to crank up the margin. I also changed the textures to colors that I needed for the project. Have you seen this problem before. One of my materials uses a texture in the bump would this throw it off?

Hey liviu, please try to contact the developer directly. He might – for whatever reason – not have received comment notifications. At the top of this page you’ll find a link to the developer’s profile, which contains the link to his website as well as a contact form. Maybe one of these options will help you get in touch with the developer.

This is a great plugin! However, I was having trouble getting the smoothness I wanted out of this effect when showing only one portion as opposed to both. I found a workaround that I’d like to share and maybe this control could be included in future versions?

If you click “unfold all” on Fillex, you can see how it’s built. I found that you can’t change the quadrangle width on the Caps tab of “Extrude Up” and “Extrude Down” which would allow for smoother geometry.

To fix this, go into the xpresso tag look in the main node for “Preview > RangeMapper >Extrude”, just delete the range mapper and extrude. Now, back in Fillex, you can change the value from it’s default 15 to anything you need.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi there,

as I looked your demo-video from this preset, I’ve bought it, ’cause I like to play with text a lot.
Unfortunally it doesn’t worked as shown in the video (see the front in the “Result”-pic @link) – it may be that I’ve done something wrong, but I tried different settings arounf the text object:
    with/without (fillet-)caps
all different settings @nGons, etc. – nothing will happen correctly.
The sides and the back are shown as in the video – but the front…
I will have a look at the possible answer in december, perhaps…
Here’s the link to the pic:

    best regards

How can I set custom materials to the fillex object? Do I need to use the Mat Up/Mat Down materials or can I set a custom pre-made material in the xpresso? I’ve noticed there’s no material link in the user data. This would be a good addition. Thanks

If you right click on Fillex and go “unfold all”, you can add your own materials to the “OBJ Instance” and “Extrude” for each respective direction and have it work.
