    Hello,

Thanks for the great plugin that makes my life easier. I updated the plugin to latest version for R15 and its crashing my projects sometimes. C4D it self its super stabile. Let me know if there is new updates on the way.

    Thanks, Dom

Yes I am going to look into it. No promises as to when and if I will be successfull I will update it of course. I don’t even have R15 yet so it could be a little while. See http://github.com/andreberg/C4D-ChamferMaker-R12/issues/1 for updates or follow me on twitter at @bergmedia

Are you going to fix it for r15? It’s much better than the new Bevel-Tool!!!

Hi André, first of all I like to thank you for the work you put into this plugin. Unfortunately it doesn’t work in C4D R15 anymore. It is recognized, shows up, but all the edges from the object which is chamferd disappear. Would it be possible, that you could tweak it so it fits R15? It would be really appreciated.
    Best regards
    Andrea

Wow, this is such a useful plugin. I’d love to see MAXON build it into C4D.

The plugin doesn’t allow to put a material, using a selection tag for the polygons from one area affected by a chamfer. Can you confirm this and if this will be fixed?

Release 14 crashes with the plugin installed. Will there be a new version??

    • admin on September 12, 2012 at 7:49 am

No one is working on this plugin, anymore, so I doubt it. But if someone picks it up again, you’ll find the R14 version right here.

Just for clarification for future visitors: the comment I am replying to was made before I updated the plugin for R14.

That’s strange, because this is exactly the site where I got the files from. I’m on a Mac, too, and it works fine.

I’ve installed into plugin library, but It didn’t show up on C4D plugin menu.

    I’m using Windows 7 64bit
    C4D R13

Apparently, this plugin is Mac only. Other commentators had problems with Windows, too.

    Hi,

Can you please show how/ where to install it ? Its showing an error when I put the entire folder into the plugins library.

    Thanks !

    • admin on June 30, 2012 at 9:13 pm

which Cinema 4D release version are you using?

    • Rajarshi on July 1, 2012 at 6:42 am

      Hi,

I am using R13. When I unzip the folder, there are various files.

    • admin on July 1, 2012 at 11:41 am

hmm… well, it works for me. when you unpack the zip you end up with a folder called “8934564″.

drag or copy that complete main folder into the plugins folder. try renaming this folder to something like “Chamfer Maker” or so.

I’m sorry to hear that. If the plugin is ever going to be updated for Windows you’ll read about it here.

Does this produce similar results to an Edge Shader?

    • admin on June 30, 2012 at 9:17 pm

it can, of course. depends on how you set up the chamfer maker.
