    Hi

I’m just about to purchase this Bee C4D model from your site. Just a question – does the bee has a low poly count as the details that I see here is pretty high, which means rendering is going to take a lot of coffee breaks for me. Look forward in hearing from you.

      Hi Jon,
      thanks for your interest.
The poly count is not too high (662 without hyperNURBS).
The time consuming factor is given much more by the fur, so depends by you.

      Best Regards,
      Gianni

I just purchased your excellent Bee and Frog models and am new to C4D. Do you have a project file that you could send that contains the lighting and settings for the renderings you have on your product page? I have R13 Studio and cannot get an image anywhere close to yours. I do not see any hairs, for example, and would like to know how to obtain the results you did with your models.

Thanks very much for your help.

    • Gianni on November 12, 2013 at 11:36 am

Thanks Jim and excuse me for answering so late.
If you don’t see the hair, probably you do not have selected the ON button in the Fur section of the preset.
My setup for the product images is very simple.
I used global illumination with an HDR image to a Sky Object (the Receive GI is ON for the hair material) and a spot light without shadows and GI off (approximately in front of the bee model).
      Best Regards,
      Gianni

Hello! Bee model – can be hair simulated by wind?

    Best,
    Sven

    • Gianni on September 5, 2013 at 1:10 pm

      Hi Sven,
Sure, the hair can be simulated by wind.
You need only to add the force in the Forces Tab and play with the dynamics properties for your goal.

      Gianni

Well done! One question. Could I replace the Bee with another Character for example a butterfly or fly? That would be nice! Thanks.

    Best regards,
    Vedat

    • Gianni on April 28, 2013 at 4:31 pm

      HI Vedat,
my knowledge lead me to say that you could but it is not so straightforward. You should redo all the bind and not only that.
And just an observation: the flight of the butterfly is so different, I don’t think is the right way, in my humble opinion.
      Best Regads,

I just purchased the Bee & Frog. Is there a Vray version by chance?

    Thanks.

      Sorry Danis.

Hi, sorry I’m a bit new to C4d, I just bought the bee&frog and I can’t seem to get a render that looks like yours. These modules that you list : Dynamics, Hair, MOCCA they are integrated with c4d already right? These arent 3rd party plugins? My render dosnt show the hair and is rough angled. I’m using r13. I was wondering if you could give me a few quick pointers on what I’m doing wrong. Thanks!

    • Adrien Girault on January 3, 2013 at 5:25 am

sorry I meant it dosnt show the hair properly.. not as smooth as yours.

    • Adrien Girault on January 3, 2013 at 6:57 am

and not talking about the anti-aliasing either :) I think its something to do with the number of polygons..

    • Gianni on January 5, 2013 at 12:53 am

      Hi Adrien,
if you can see the hair then you have the hair module. In the case of a module is missing, a pop-up alert will appears on your monitor.
You can send me an email if you go to my blog (press contact tab), so we can manage this problem and understand what’s is wrong. Only one thing I can add: the light setup for the hair is no so simple like for the other material.
      Cheers

Very interested in what you are offering. Any chance I can get you to add a butterfly?…

If you’ll work on it, you’ll know.
But if you want, you can make a product request.
